What we publish
Our articles offer fashion commentary, collection research and practical styling suggestions. Opinions and exercises are editorial interpretations. Historical photographs are labelled with their dates and context. We do not claim that a photographed item is currently available, that we attended a show, or that we personally tested a product unless an article expressly says so.
The site currently provides free editorial content. It does not sell products, accept orders or create paid subscriptions.
Reading, linking and reuse
You may read our pages, share links and use the reading-list and colour-lab tools for their intended purposes. Copyright and other rights belong to their respective holders. Any reuse of protected material beyond applicable legal exceptions requires permission from the relevant rights holder.
Photographs have individual credits and licences on the page and in our image credits. Those licences govern reuse of the photographs and take precedence over any general wording here. A Creative Commons or public-domain image does not make all surrounding text, logos or third-party material available under that same licence. These terms do not restrict rights granted by an image's licence or by law.
Responsible use
Please do not interfere with the operation or security of the site, attempt unauthorised access, impersonate the publisher, or use the site to distribute unlawful or malicious material.
Accuracy and corrections
Fashion collections, appointments and product information change. Check an article's date and linked sources before relying on time-sensitive details. We aim to correct established errors; send the page address and supporting information to our contact email. Styling suggestions are optional and may not suit every preference or circumstance.
External links and independence
Links to fashion houses, museums and other websites are provided for reference. Those organisations control their own content, services and privacy practices. Naming a brand or publishing a licensed photograph does not imply endorsement or affiliation. Any future sponsored content or affiliate links will be identified.
Availability and responsibility
We may update the publication and its tools, and access may occasionally be interrupted. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits responsibility that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited, or removes any mandatory rights you have as a consumer.
Applicable law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Netherlands. If you are a consumer elsewhere, this does not deprive you of mandatory protections available under the law that applies to you, or restrict your right to bring a claim in a competent court.
