RUNWAY NOTE.
How we work

Look closely.
Credit carefully.

Runway Note publishes collection notes, designer studies and practical experiments in colour, fabric and proportion. Our aim is to help readers understand what they are looking at and form their own view.

Sources and interpretation

Factual collection claims link to fashion-house, museum or industry sources beneath the article. We separate those facts from our interpretation. A proposed outfit exercise is a suggestion, not a claim of hands-on testing. We do not claim show attendance, interviews or first-hand access that did not take place.

Dates and fashion seasons

The date a show takes place is different from the season named by the collection. Archive photographs retain their dates and are not presented as evidence of a current trend. Publication dates describe when our articles were published; material revisions should carry an updated date.

AI assistance

This edition was developed with AI assistance in research, writing, design and illustration. This does not replace verification against named sources. The homepage uses real credited photographs. Some other pages contain AI-created illustrations, explicitly labelled as such; these do not depict actual designer garments.

Photography and rights

Photographs have source links, photographer credits and licence information. Our use of a photograph does not imply endorsement by its subject, photographer or fashion house. See photography and sources for the individual records.

Independence and advertising

No fashion house sponsors this edition. Any future sponsored feature or affiliate link will be clearly identified. Advertising, if introduced, will be distinct from editorial links and reading controls.

Corrections

Report a possible factual error using our publisher contact details, including the page address and supporting source. When an error is established, the article can be corrected; a substantive correction should be explained on the affected page rather than silently changing the meaning.
